04 / GETTING STARTED

Getting started with Alpine Accounting

Here’s exactly what happens after you accept your quote. No passwords change hands, and nothing starts until the paperwork is signed.

1

Sign your agreement

It lists your plan, price, what’s included, what isn’t, and who does what. Sign it electronically or on paper.

2

Pay to get started

A QuickBooks invoice covers your first month (plus a retainer, if your agreement includes one). Invoices are due within 15 days. Turn on autopay by bank transfer and you’ll never think about it again. Prefer a year? Prepay 12 months and pay for 11.

3

Give us access, the safe way

QuickBooks Online:

go to Settings → Manage users → Accounting firms → Invite, and enter Michael@alpineaccountingco.com.

Bank and card accounts:

no logins, ever. We use the bank feeds connected in your QuickBooks, or monthly PDF statements.

Payroll:

add us as an accountant user in your payroll provider. QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto, ADP and others have this built in.

Receipts:

we set up your company’s own QuickBooks receipt address. Forward receipts from the email you use to sign in to QuickBooks.

Tax documents:

you’ll get an invitation to Intuit Link, the secure portal in our tax software.

4

Kickoff call (30 minutes)

We confirm your accounts, deadlines and anything unusual, and agree on your close calendar.

5

Your first close

Your first reports arrive by the 15th of the following month, often sooner. If cleanup comes first, you’ll get that date in writing.

Never send passwords, Social Security numbers or tax forms by email or text, to us or anyone else.

Ready when you are.

Your first call is free, takes about 20 minutes and comes with no obligation.
